Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know
Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should be part of your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.
